Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I trained elsewhere but don't have certification?
Book a Baseline Assessment. This 2-hour evaluation measures your competence against our standards. Pass and you're eligible for advanced courses. Cost: £150.
How long are prerequisites valid?
24 months from the date of completion. After 24 months you must either retake the relevant Foundation Course or pass a new Baseline Assessment before booking advanced training.
Can military or law enforcement experience substitute for prerequisites?
No automatic exemptions. We don't assume competence based on background. All students must complete a Foundation Course or pass a Baseline Assessment. Experience helps — but verification is always required.
What happens if I book without meeting prerequisites?
We verify prerequisites before confirming bookings. If discovered after booking you will be removed from the course with no refund. Verify your eligibility before booking.
Can I take Foundation and Advanced courses back-to-back?
Not on consecutive days — you need time to internalise and practise Foundation skills. We recommend a minimum of 2–4 weeks between Foundation completion and Advanced booking.
Do I need separate prerequisites for each Advanced course?
Some courses require multiple prerequisites — for example, Vehicle Low Light Operations requires both the relevant Handgun or Carbine course and Night Vision Introduction. Check specific course pages for full requirements.
What if my prerequisite expires between booking and course date?
Prerequisites must be valid on the course start date. If your certificate expires before the training date you must complete a refresher or reassessment first. No exceptions.
